Unchanging Jesus.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” - Hebrews 13:8

This truth show ground us. It should be our anchor and hope. Jesus does not change! What solid ground in a world that is changing constantly.

The tragic reality is that many are trying to remake Jesus. The problem is Jesus is not makeover material. He never changes. How is that possible?

First, Jesus is eternal. He exists outside of space and time. And even when He laid aside His divine nature to come to the earth, He was still God the Son. He did not change then, and He will not change now.

Second, Jesus is entirely committed to the glory and will of the Father. Jesus wants God to be magnified in all things. His passion for the Father’s glory fuels everything He is and does.

And third, Jesus is Lord of creation. He made it all. He knows how everything is supposed to be in its original design. That is why He came to save. Jesus wants to recreate us after God’s image. Will we let Him?
